Awka Museum Foundation
Awka Museum Foundation was birthed on the 27th of December 2019 at Umudioka Village, Awka Town, in the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State of Nigeria. The Foundation is primarily set up with a view to erecting a befitting museum at Awka. The museum will be a repository of artefacts from Nigeria and around the world.
Apart from being the capital of Anambra state, Awka (Originally spelt as ‘Oka’) has a rich history of being a great centre for the Arts. The museum with a nine-man Board of Trustees is a private non-profit organisation.
