was founded on 27th December 2019
… at Umudioka Village, Awka Town, in the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra state.
The Awka Museum Foundation is primarily set up with a view to erecting a befitting museum at Awka, Anambra State. The museum will be a repository of artefacts from Nigeria and around the world.

Mondays Closed
Tuesdays 9:30 am – 4pm

Last entry is 2hrs before closure
Are the use of cameras and videos allowed?
Visitors may take photographs and make videos of Exhibitions and artefacts. Photo shoots and Photo sessions ARE NOT ALLOWED as this distracts other visitors and is not in tandem with the objectives of the Museum.
Are bags allowed into the Museum
No bags are allowed into the Museum. These maybe securely locked in one of the lockup cabinet and the key kept by the depositor. The bags will be retrieved at the end of the tour and the key handed over to the Admitting staff.

Does the Museum have rentable space for private functions?
Yes, there are ample indoor, garden, bush bar and pool space for private functions – meetings, exhibitions, End of year parties, small private weddings, showers etc.
